Matt Nichols will be celebrating his 24th year as a freelance photographer in July, and has been creating dynamic photos for over 30+ years. Specializing in commercial portraits, product, branding and architecture photography. Matt works out of his 3000 sqft custom built photo studio in the Italian neighborhood of Columbus Park “Little Italy” just minutes from downtown Kansas City, MO.

He studied photography at the prestigious Art Institute of Colorado, located in Denver, CO. After graduating at the top of his class he moved back to his hometown of Kansas City to pursue his dream of owning a photography studio and helping clients and small businesses develop visual content for advertising, promotion and marketing uses. An avid movie buff, loves mid-century design and must get his old school Star Wars fix regularly.

In addition to his expertise in traditional photography and videography, Matt has been exploring the use of AI to enhance his clients’ photo and video marketing efforts. Over the past few years, he has steadily built his knowledge and refined his AI techniques to help brands create smarter, more impactful visual content using AI as a tool to elevate, not replace, the creative process.
